QMSAI OHSMS Internal Auditor certification is a globally-recognized ISO 45001:2018 Internal auditor certification. It is certified by the Quality and Management system Auditors Institute (QMSAI) and meets the training requirements for QMSAI Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditor certification.
A “QMSAI ISO 45001 internal Auditor” certificate gives credence to your professional capabilities, and demonstrates that you have the knowledge and skills to perform the internal audit of your organization’s OHSMS based on ISO 45001 standard.

Pre-course Requirements
You are expected to have the following prior knowledge before starting this course:
- Knowledge of the plan, do, check, act cycle (PDCA)
- Understand the structure and content of ISO 45001:2018 standard
- Fully grasp the ISO 45001 standard. (Note that students without prior knowledge may not be successful in this course.)
- Have insights into the core elements of a management system, and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, management review and continual improvement
- Understand the concepts of managing occupational health and safety through hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control, compliance with legal requirements, etc.
- Know the relationship between occupational health and safety management, the provision of safe and healthy workplaces, the prevention of work-related injury and ill health, and the proactive improvement of health and safety performance
- Possess knowledge of the requirements of ISO 45001, and the commonly used occupational health and safety management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 45001
- Knowledge of OH&S legislations and legal requirements (both local and international)
- Understand Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems risk-based process approach.
Course Duration
This course takes five days to complete, plus exams.
Course Time
9:00am to 5:00pm daily (tea break starts at 11:00am and runs till 11:30am, while lunch starts at 1:00pm).
Course Fee
₦150,000.00 (one hundred and fifty thousand naira). You can pay in 2 installments.
Examination and Evaluation Criteria
Participants shall be evaluated through:
- Continuous Assessments – Participants will be evaluated every day of the training, via group discussion, workshops, role play, punctuality, take-home exercise, class room participation, attendance, contribution in class, etc. The qualifying mark is 60%
- Examination – Participants will write a 2-hour final examination on the last day of training. The qualifying marks is 70%
